The Association of Christian Schools International states the
following regarding Continuing Education Units (CEU's):
The number of CEU hours granted for a course is dependent upon
the number of clock hours of instruction. The ratio of instructional
hours to credit granted varies throughout the country. ACSI has
established a 6 to 1 ratio. In other words, for every six clock
hours of instruction, one CEU credit can be granted.
Therefore, courses at Quartz Hill School of Theology are worth
1 CEU per six hours of instruction. In order to obtain an initial
Standard teacher or administrator certificate, the applicant must
have 9 quarter units or 18 CEU's of Bible. Once the applicant
has obtained a Standard or Professional certificate, CEU's can
be used for meeting the Bible requirement for renewal. Five CEU's
of Bible (or 3 quarter units) are needed to renew either of these
certificates.
